Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children Special Edition Report Part 1: Page Two
The location then switches to Tifa and Marlene walking into a church where a section of the floorboards are missing and flowers are growing in that very area. This is, in fact, the church that Aeris (Aerith) is famous for. Marlene saunters ahead and asks, "Is this where Cloud lives?" Tifa pauses and hesitantly answers with, "I guess so..." There is a chest at the far end of the church and as they both approach it, they see a white cloth lying on top. It reassembles very much to the one that fell off Denzel's forehead. That is when Marlene says, "It's just like Denzel's. Is Cloud sick?" Tifa wonders why he didn't say anything. Marlene asks, "Did he leave because he's sick?" At that, Tifa says that Cloud wants to fight alone. "Will he?", asks Marlene. Tifa answers with, "I don't think he will." All the while, Kadaj is in the meeting room with the wheelchair person but this time, Kadaj seems to be in a foul mood. Both Reno and Rude are on the ground groaning in pain, apparently beaten by Reno's very own EMR (Electro-Magnetic Rod), wielded by Kadaj. The conversation goes on about a lost package. Although the handicapped fellow appears to be the telling the truth about the package, the silver-haired person appears doubtful. After that, there is another shot of Tifa and Marlene in the church but this time, Loz makes his appearance there. He has a rectangular device on his left forearm with two (2) spikes jutting out forward. Both girls are holding each other, Marlene in fear and Tifa in protection. Loz asks, "Where is Mother?" The older girl replies by saying that she doesn't know. To that answer, Loz then makes a requests. "Play with me then." A fight ensues with Tifa giving Loz a serious beating, not giving him a chance to strike back. The last move of the attack consists of her giving him a devastating side-kick to the head. As the attack connects, he grabs her foot and swings her around a few times before releasing her and letting her fly to a distant wall. Not only does she LAND on the wall, she looks to be ready to jump at Loz and renew her assault. The scene switches back to the church with Tifa on the ground in pain and Loz approaching Marlene. Tifa screams at Marlene to run. The man simply looks at both girls, one at a time and smiles. The scene cuts to some time before the setting of the movie. Denzel is sitting on the steps of a building, looking down. As the camera adjusts to his angle, there is a hand holding a Moogle doll. The camera pans upward and shows a young girl saying, "You're sick too. C'mon. They'll fix us." With that said, she takes is hand and they walk away. Cloud then walks into the church and the purpose of the earlier mentioned harness becomes apparent. It serves to carry his (huge) sword. He pauses in front of the flower patch and, in a split second, notices Tifa lying down, hurt. He picks up Tifa, realizes her injuries and mounts his motorcycle once more. When Tifa wakes up, she is in her own bed and Cloud is looking out the window. He then says, "Reno and Rude are looking for the children."Tifa confronts him about the sickness, the geostigma. She asks of him, "So it's okay to just give up and die. Is that what you think?" Cloud claims that there is no cure but she chastises him and reminds him that despite the fact, Denzel is doing his best to fight the sickness. She mentions that everybody is there to help each other and there to help him. He replies by saying that not only is he beyond help but that he isn't fit to help anybody. At that point, Reno and Rude make an entrance, claiming to know where the children are being held. With that information, the scene changes to Cloud riding on Fenrir through a forest in order to reach the Forgotten City. At this moment, the setting changes to that of the location. All three (3) silver-haired characters are there with Kadaj giving a speech about going against the Planet. He claims that the geostigma is a gift from the Planet that fills their hearts with doubt and racks their body with pain, not letting them fight. He claims that he will heal the children. Kadaj then says, Then, we will go to Mother! We will join as a family and strike back at the Planet!" As he says that, there is energy gathering around him. All the children's eyes start to change, reflecting not only the color but the shape of the three silver-haired men's eyes.[ Introduction | Part 1: Pages: One, Two | Part 2: Pages: One, Two | Part 3: Pages: One | Two | Sephiroth... ]
