This report on the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Special Presentation at the Festival du Nouveau Cinema in Montreal has been entirely written by Jerzideva from the Daeya.org Team with the help of the entire team. Final Fantasy 7:Advent Children Special Edition Report Introduction

Tonight was the "big night". Needless to say, everybody was either very excited or overly so. Daemon, JoonHee, Klonoa and a few others of our friends met up earlier in the day and went to line up at Ex-Centris a good two (2) hours before the showing. Daeya and I met up a bit later at about six (6) o'clock and proceeded to make our way to the place of showing. When we got there at seven (7), the line was ... well, let's just say that it was ridiculously short. Daemon and the others were already there so we joined in.

As the time slowly ticked away til eight (8) o'clock, the line started to grow and grow until it reached the very entrance of Ex-Centris. Daemon and JoonHee both tried to take photos of the waiting line but sadly, the staff dashed our attempts to do by explaining a no recording (photo or otherwise) rule. Eight (8) o'clock finally rolled around and the doors to the Cassavettes theater finally opened. The line slowly filed into the showing room. Prior to this, Daemon had a seating arrangement all planned out so that everybody would have a beautiful center view. We all took our seats and waited for all the rest of the viewers to come in and to grab a place. Daeya also bought a series of pink ribbons for all of us. We each tied one to our left arm. Reason? Every character in the trailers so far has one. We speculate that it is done to remember Aeris.

Before the thirty (30) minute special presentation started, the organizer of the Montreal Festival du Nouveau Film gave a short speech explaining what this showing was about. After this little introduction, the female counterpart of the two (2) guests that were with him gave a short speech. It turns out that they both work for Square-Enix USA. Their branch is situated in Los Angeles. She explained that although this presentation was a mere thirty (30) minutes, the finished product would be anywhere between seventy (70) and eighty (80) minutes long. She also went on to say that they are making excellent progress on the movie and they are fine-tuning every detail. After both speeches were done, the room went up in applause. Without further ado, the feature presentation started.

For those that do not want to know what happened in the special presentation, do not read any more for I will be describing in detail (or as much as I can remember) what happened during the showing.
